Bicycle Distribution Ceremony at Batticaloa Mahajana College

We are happy to announce today we had a small ceremony at the Batticaloa Mahajana College to distribute 12 bicycles to the needy school children. Along with Nico Mahinthan, our P2P Project Adminstrator in Sri Lanka, Father Johnson and Mr. Anand coordinated a very successful event for the bicycle distribution. The chief guest Mr. K. Baskaran, the Zonal Director of Education Batticaloa, multiple school principals, parents and students attended the distribution ceremony.

It was painful to hear the troubles these students go through on a daily basis and the distances they travel to get to the schools. These bicycles will serve these underprivileged students immensely to get around quickly and safely.
