Eye Glasses for Students in Mullaitivu School District – June 2019

In June 2018, Peer 2 Peer Foundation conducted eye examination for over 200 students at BT/PD/Palugamam Kandumany Maha Vid

yalayam in Thiruppalugamam and supplied glasses for 75 students. Through this project, P2P recognized the need for eye glasses for students at multiple schools in the impoverished areas in Mullaitivu school district. In June of 2019, we started our 2^nd phase of the eye examination project for multiple schools in Mullaitivu School District and identified 184 students needing eye glasses. The pictures below are taken from P2P hosted event where the eye glasses were distributed to students.

P2P is formalizing eye examination project and coordinating with a reputed local optometry to conduct regular and follow up eye exams for students in Mullaitivu School District and provide glasses as necessary.
